Purchasing process:
I received an order tracking number three days after purchase. The package came well packed in two separate boxes. Everything was included as well as additional spare parts.

Setup:
Setup took about 4-5 hours over a few days for me. The pulleys come pre installed, but installation took me longer because I took all the pulleys apart and greased them with silicon grease. This makes them spin much smoother since they are a bit dry out of the box. The instructions were clear and straightforward, but you have to make sure you pay attention to the exact parts and orientation of the parts when installing. There are two tricky parts to the installation process for me. (1) there is a bolt at the top that is impossible to get in if you do not install it in the correct order due to the location of the welded plate housing. You first need to thread this bolt through the l—plate while the I plate is rotated upside down. Once the bolt it through, you need to rotate the plate counterclockwise so that it is in the correct position. After this, the other three bolts will slide in easily. I’ll post a photo of this specific tricky bolt. (2) the other tricky installation part was threading the cable. There is a video on eonfit’s instagram that shows an easier way to do it by starting from the center pulley. Other than that, installation was an easy but tedious. I would highly recommend greasing everything.

Performance:
The machine is well made, and feels solid. The cable pull is smooth even without the aluminum pulley upgrade. There are a ton of different moves I can do on this machine that will make workouts more dynamic and help work back, arms, and more.

I ordered this cable tower last week and it took about 3 days to process. I received a confirmation email and tracking number 3 days after ordering.

The cable tower has great build quality, although I recommend picking up some silicone lube to grease up the pulleys, uprights and weight trolley since they are pretty dry. You will notice a huge difference in the smoothness of the system by applying silicone lube generously.

Installation was fairly average. Not simple, but not overly complicated. It took me about 5 hours total over a few days. The pulleys come pre installed, but I had to remove them to grease them up which added some extra time to the installation. Two minor issues with installation. (1) there is a bolt that is tricky to get in due to where the welded plates are. I will add a photo of this specific bolt. You need to thread this bolt through the L-plate first, put the bolt in with the l-plate upside down and then rotate the l-plate counterclockwise into place. After that, you can add the other three bolts easily. (It takes a bit of work, but it all fits eventually). (2) the cable installation is a bit confusing. There is a blurry video on EonFits’s instagram that is better than the directions. I’d start with the middle like the video instead of at the ends like the directions show. Last bit of advice- don’t tighten the bolts until the very end. It’s useful to have a bit of wiggle room so all the holes line up. Once everything is in place, then you can tighten all the bolts.

All in all, the system is well made, smooth, and I would highly recommend.

Pros:
Price-You literally can’t find anything in this category plate loaded with the adjustable arms for this price. The next option for a home gym with the arms is around $2,000, A gym quality free motion one starts at like $8,000. So set your expectations based on the price.

Function-Can be used as a 2-1 or 1:1 system. I’m about 5’10 and can do a full stretch lat pull down sitting on a standard 17” high bench. You can do a full stretch chest fly unlike all other single column functional trainers. Literally any cable exercise you can imagine you can do.

Con’s: (Kinda)
Shipping- Came in 4 separate packages. But only got tracking numbers for 2. I started putting together the machine and realized there was no front trolly. Contacted support and they said it was comming from a different warehouse. Also the aluminum pulley upgrade kit came like 2 weeks after. Also no heads up or tracking info provided for that. I was annoyed, not because of how long it took, just that I wasn’t communicated with the shipping.

Smoothness-You need to silicone spray literally every part of this machine, every wheel, every bearing. Out of the box there is a lot of friction. But after some TLC it’s smooth as butter. The aluminum pulley upgrade kit is a must have.

Directions-Took about 3.5 hours with me and my girlfriend. 90% was easy. But there was some confusion mounting the arms to the upright trolly. Probably took 30 mins alone with us scratching our head to figure out what came assembled needed to be un assembled and be put back together. Video directions would be super helpful.

Could be taller-The hight is perfect for most especially in shorter basements. I happen to have tall ceiling where it’s at. I would have paid another $100-150 a taller unit. Just an idea. Not a pro or con, the hight is listed and you know what you’re getting.

Overall I would recommend and buy again. Just a little better communication on the shipping process and some smoother bearings out of the gate would have been nice. Overall I would recommend this the best budget stand alone functional trainer on the market today.

Shipping was good in so far as the item arrived without any damage. Putting it together took a little longer than expected as the directions were not the best, but I've had far more expensive products with similarly bad directions. I have been using the cable machine for the last couple of weeks and am amazed by the smoothness of the cables, even without the aluminum pulleys. The tower itself is also made of high quality materials. In particular, the articulating arms are built like a tank. The weight horns on the bottom of the machine are perfect to keep it steady during lifts. Only time will tell if the machine is durable long-term, but this is comparable to cable towers costing hundreds of dollars more.

Parts arrived within a week in 3 separate boxes. All were extremely well packaged, all parts were included, as well as extra parts they send.
Assembly was not challenging and directions were accurate and well written.
Online CHAT n the Eon website was excellent and they are very responsive (I had questions before making my purchase)
Enjoying the machine very much. Can do many different exercises with it.
